The Powassan Eagles are happy to announce the NOJHL North Bay Trappers’ Junior 'A' Hockey Club has acquired forward C.J. Nicholson for the 2013-2014 season. C.J began the year with the Milton Ice Hawks in the OJHL, and has since tallied 15 goals and 16 assists for 31 points in 30 games, in the GMHL with the Eagles. The Powassan Eagles are proud to announce that they will be attending the Michigan Pre Draft Showcase; one of the top showcases in North America.  The 2013 Michigan Pre-Draft Showcase that will be held in Canton, Michigan April 19-21st. The Powassan Eagles swept the Rama Aces by scores on 6-5, 5-4, and 5-2. "We played a really strong opening series." Stated head coach Gary Astalos. He also went on to say, "Every guy on our roster contributed in the series. We are looking forward to some time off to rest and prepare for the next round." The Eagles will know their second round opponent in the next couple days as all other GMHL series are currently in Progress.

The Powassan Eagles won both games this weekend, beating the Sturgeon Falls Lumberjacks and Mattawa Voyageurs both by a score of 6-3.
